Darlington Film Club are proud to host an exclusive screening of Teddy Pendergrass - ‘If You Don’t Know Me’.
The inspiring story of Teddy Pendergrass, who was poised to be the greatest soul singer of all time. His was the immortal voice of Don’t Leave Me This Way, The Love I Lost and Close the Door. He was also the first black male artist to have five consecutive platinum albums in the US, before a devastating accident changed his life forever.
Featuring interviews with his family, friends and colleagues including Philadelphia soul legends Kenny Gamble & Leon Huff, rare archive footage and a superb soundtrack, this revealing and poignant documentary charts the life of Teddy Pendergrass. His rise to fame within the complexities of 1960s America, his tragic fall and his triumphant comeback.

The Lads have had a great few years, playing venues such as MOHO Live ,Witchwood Live and a lot of the popular tribute music festivals. The lads in the band met over the internet in 2008 and have progressed real quick.

Fundraiser Gig For Eve
This gig is raise money for a special and brilliant young lady called Eve Farey. Eve was born with spina bifida and hydrocephalus.
With every obstacle she has had to face, she has taken it in her stride - her mobility, her independence and her health is challenged. She has had to endure hip surgery, brain surgery and spinal surgery (at four hours old and at more recently in 2017).
After the final spinal surgery, she has been left with little mobility which has stripped Eve of her independence.
We are raising funds for a fantastic wheelchair for Eve that will enable her to gain the independence that she needs.
